About the role

The Hospice RN will provide compassionate nursing care to patients and families in the Justin Rogers Hospice Care Center. This PRN position supports patients physically, emotionally and spiritually as they transition to end‑of‑life care.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct admission assessments, reassessments and ongoing patient evaluations.
  • Assess safety risks, abuse, neglect and manage patient pain.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely with a focus on comfort.
  • Coordinate care for a caseload of hospice patients and document changes in condition.
  • Update plans of care, provide education to patients, caregivers and families.

Required profile

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • At least one year of clinical RN experience, preferably in acute medical‑surgical or critical care.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) and prior hospice experience.
