HIL Functional Test Engineer (AV Fleets)

About the role

Deloitte is hiring an experienced HIL Functional Test Engineer in Los Angeles, California, under its Project Delivery Talent Model, which is tailored for long-term, onsite client service delivery. The test engineer runs manual and automated hardware-in-the-loop functional and regression testing of AV fleets for meeting spaces, working as a consultant with little travel.

Key responsibilities

• Run manual and automated HIL functional and regression tests on AV fleets for meeting and collaboration spaces
• Prepare tests: software deployment, hardware configuration and test data generation
• Design test cases, run exploratory testing, log bugs, verify fixes and give release sign-off
• Stage, mount, rack, configure and tear down AV test systems to commercial AV design and installation standards
• Test Crestron and Q-SYS control logic and user interfaces, and debug Lua test scripts
• Validate codec and peripheral interoperability and audio processing, and simulate hardware failure scenarios
• Maintain lab rigs and VLANs, and document testing procedures for a new space product
• Log issues in Buganizer and produce daily release readiness and failure reports with workarounds

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in HIL testing of AV systems (software, firmware and hardware) in a physical lab
• 6+ years validating Crestron and Q-SYS control logic and interfaces, or equivalent
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• On-site, 5 days per week; must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
