High-Tech Aide - AM and PM Shift

About the role

AdvisaCare is hiring in-home caregivers/CNAs to provide basic care in home settings, including transportation to and from physician appointments, light housekeeping and meal preparation. Travel within the Oakland County area is required. The schedule is 16 hours per week, three days a week, four hours each day.

Key responsibilities

• Provide health care services in patients' residences
• Perform domestic and household tasks
• Transport and accompany patients to the doctor's office or hospital
• Administer simple prescribed medications
• Assist with personal care activities
• Monitor patients (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc.) and report on their condition
• Maintain care records and document services provided
• Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises
• Instruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exercise
• Provide companionship

Required profile

• High school graduate or GED
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Ability to work in a team, responsibly and independently
• Good communication skills
• CPR certified
• Ability to pass a drug screen and clear background check
