Hematology Oncology Physician

About the role

Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Covington, Louisiana is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Hematology‑Oncology Physician to join its expanding multi‑specialty group practice. The physician will provide comprehensive cancer care within a multidisciplinary environment that follows MD Anderson protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver hematology and oncology patient care, including chemotherapy infusion and radiation oncology services.
• Participate in weekly call rotation and hospital consultant practice across the region.
• Collaborate with specialists throughout the Ochsner Health System and contribute to multidisciplinary treatment planning.
• Engage in research and teaching opportunities as part of the Center’s clinical research mission.
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record platform for patient management.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology.
• Commitment to a flexible schedule and multidisciplinary approach to care.
• Willingness to work onsite in Covington, LA.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system.
