Healthcare Counsel – Commercial Contracts & CPOM

About the role

The organization is seeking an experienced Healthcare Counsel to join its legal team. The role focuses on commercial contract work and advising on Corporate Practice of Medicine (CPOM) matters across the company’s operations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer, vendor, and professional services contracts.
• Provide counsel on CPOM issues, such as physician practice structures, management services organizations (MSOs), and multi‑state regulatory considerations.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver pragmatic legal guidance on day‑to‑day operational matters.
• Support the legal team on emerging healthcare regulatory and commercial issues.
• Identify legal risks and propose practical solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with compliance, operations, and executive leadership teams.

Required profile

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5–10+ years of legal experience in‑house or at a law firm with a strong healthcare practice.
• Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Deep knowledge of CPOM and experience advising on physician practice structures, MSOs, and related regulatory matters.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
