Head of People

About the role

Range is building an AI‑powered wealth‑management platform and needs a senior leader to own the People strategy as the company scales rapidly. You will partner directly with the CEO and executive team to design systems that attract, develop, and retain top talent.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a comprehensive People strategy aligned with business goals and rapid growth.
• Partner with the CEO on org design, workforce planning, and leadership development.
• Build and lead an internal HR team, establishing clear ownership and operating rhythms.
• Design performance management, review cycles, calibration processes, and manager enablement.
• Set consistent employee‑relations practices, investigations, and performance outcomes.
• Make final decisions on complex people matters, balancing business needs, culture, and risk.

Required profile

• 12+ years leading People/HR functions in high‑growth, tech‑forward environments.
• Strong judgment with comfort owning high‑stakes decisions with minimal direction.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and shape company culture.
• Deep experience across performance management, employee relations, and org design.
• Builder mindset – enjoys creating systems rather than inheriting them.

Required skills

• Experience designing scalable People systems and performance management frameworks.
• Expertise in employee relations, investigations, and compliance.
• Ability to lead and develop an HR team.
