Head of Lineside Support and Work Prep

About the role

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is seeking a Head of Lineside Support and Work Prep to lead the Manufacturing Engineering Lineside Shop Support team. The role ensures efficient support for manufacturing operations, providing the right tooling and equipment to meet production plans while driving continuous improvement across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Lineside Shop Support team, ensuring high performance and effective collaboration with manufacturing groups.
• Coordinate the delivery of tooling and equipment required by production lines to meet schedule targets.
• Identify and develop improvement opportunities for plant equipment, tooling and processes.
• Promote a culture that positions the Kinston facility as a leading aircraft‑parts manufacturer.
• Engage with senior internal and external stakeholders on strategic topics such as ramp‑up and site strategy.
• Provide operational experience and insight within an industrial aerospace environment.

Required profile

• Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing engineering or production support setting.
• Strong ability to work with senior stakeholders and influence cross‑functional teams.
• Experience with plant strategic initiatives, including ramp‑up and site development.
