Head of Legal / General Counsel (Dubai)

About the role

We are seeking a senior legal leader to build and run a critical legal function for a fast‑growing consumer‑facing technology company. Reporting directly to the founders and executive team, you will partner with Product, Engineering and Marketing to ensure rapid, compliant growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead US privacy, consumer health data, and app/data governance initiatives.
• Manage advertising claims, disclosures, influencer and comparative marketing compliance, including FTC and NAD exposure.
• Oversee product‑related legal matters such as UX flows, warnings, disclaimers and consumer‑risk boundaries.
• Handle consumer claims, arbitrations, demand letters and competitor notices.
• Support fundraising, cross‑border structuring and intercompany legal issues.
• Develop legal operations tools – templates, review rules, escalation paths and playbooks – to accelerate the business and reduce founder dependency.

Required profile

• 8‑15+ years of legal experience with significant in‑house responsibility.
• Deep expertise in US privacy, consumer health data, digital products and B2C marketing.
• Comfort with FTC‑style claims risk and fast‑moving product launch environments.
• Commercial, pragmatic and hands‑on approach.
• B2C/D2C background with a startup or high‑growth mindset.
