Head of Legal & Compliance USM Business

About the role

Lead the legal and compliance function for Satair’s Used Serviceable Material (USM) business, providing strategic advice to senior leadership and managing a team of legal professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal and compliance support to the CEO and senior leadership team.
• Manage a team of 8‑10 legal and compliance staff and oversee external counsel engagements and budgets.
• Oversee contract drafting, review, negotiation and implementation for sales, procurement, leasing and other commercial transactions.
• Implement export control, business ethics and KYC/trade compliance programs in line with Airbus group directives.
• Prepare board materials, corporate governance documents and manage corporate policies and record‑keeping.
• Analyze pre‑litigation disputes, provide strategic advice and coordinate with Airbus litigation teams.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to a US state bar in good standing.
• 15+ years of experience in corporate legal departments or law firms, including team leadership.
• Experience in aircraft, engine, spare‑part sales and leasing transactions is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing export control and business ethics compliance programs.

Required skills

• Proficiency with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools.
