Head of Compliance – North America

About the role

Airbus Americas is seeking a senior leader to head its compliance function across the United States, overseeing ethics, export‑control and related regulatory matters for roughly 11,000 employees at 26 sites.

Key responsibilities

• Drive regional implementation of Airbus’ global compliance program and embed a compliance culture throughout North American businesses.
• Lead ethics, anti‑bribery, data‑privacy, competition and export‑control initiatives, including third‑party screening and lobbyist oversight.
• Manage internal investigations, open‑line reporting and coordination with legal, HR, finance and security functions.
• Provide governance, reporting and risk‑assessment to senior leadership and the Airbus board.
• Supervise and develop the regional compliance and export‑control teams, ensuring career progression and skill depth.
• Represent Airbus at industry conferences and liaise with global compliance committees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; JD, LL.M., MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
• Extensive senior‑level experience in ethics, export control or regulatory compliance within a multinational environment.
• Proven ability to lead high‑performing professional teams and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. export‑control laws, anti‑bribery regulations and data‑privacy requirements.
