Head of Analytics and Business Intelligence

About the role

Runpod is seeking a senior leader to own and grow its analytics function, turning rich operational data into strategic decisions across product, finance, engineering, security, and go‑to‑market teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and expand a team of analysts and BI practitioners, handling hiring, development, and technical standards.
• Define and maintain the core metric layer for utilization, retention, net revenue retention, margin, and marketplace health.
• Set the analytics roadmap in partnership with product, finance, and GTM leadership, balancing reporting with deep analysis.
• Build self‑serve analytics tools so stakeholders can answer routine questions independently.
• Partner with Data Engineering on modeling, data quality, freshness, and SOC 2 compliance.

Required profile

• 8+ years in analytics, BI, or data science with executive‑level metric ownership.
• 3+ years managing analytics or BI teams, with a proven hiring and development track record.
• Experience with consumption‑based or marketplace business models and related economics.
• Strong judgment, urgency, and ability to translate data into clear business recommendations.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL proficiency.
• Hands‑on experience with dbt (or equivalent) and modern analytics engineering practices.
• Familiarity with Snowflake data warehousing.
• Experience using Mode as a BI tool.
• Knowledge of Dagster for data orchestration.
