Group Therapist

About the role

Connections Wellness Group seeks a part‑time Group Therapist to deliver high‑quality psychotherapy within its Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. You will work onsite in Keller, TX, providing group and individual counseling to adults with mental health and substance‑use disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate psycho‑educational and process groups, and conduct individual therapy sessions.
• Develop and update treatment plans, discharge and after‑care plans, and document all communications in compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
• Collaborate daily with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and utilization review staff.
• Provide family counseling, crisis intervention, and support vital and UDS capture as needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in social work or counseling with a current, unencumbered clinical license in Texas.
• Prior experience working with psychiatric and chemical‑dependency populations is strongly preferred.
• CPR certification and completion of Avade training during orientation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality regulations.
• Ability to conduct clinical assessments and document accurately.
• Proficiency in crisis de‑escalation and emergency response procedures.
