Shop Floor Lead – 2nd Shift (Quality Control)

About the role

Alcon is seeking a QAMI Shop Floor Lead for the 2nd shift to manage complex tasks in the Quality Control chemistry lab. The role supports advanced projects, ensures compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards, and integrates lab results into manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Handle complex chemical analyses and contribute to method development projects.
• Maintain compliance with SOPs, cGxP, and other regulatory requirements while ensuring a safe workplace.
• Manage chemistry lab services, make project‑level decisions, and support cross‑functional teams including production, engineering, and quality assurance.
• Integrate laboratory results into manufacturing processes to drive problem‑solving and innovation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (or high school + 8 years; Associate + 4 years).
• Fluent English reading, writing and communication skills.
• Prior leadership experience and strong quality‑control background.
• Availability to work the 2nd shift (1:30 PM‑10:00 PM, Monday‑Friday) onsite in Fort Worth, TX.
