Groundskeeper/Porter – Waterwalk at Shelter Cove

About the role

The Groundskeeper/Porter will maintain the physical appearance and safety of the Waterwalk at Shelter Cove community. This role supports the service team by keeping common areas, amenities, and the overall curb appeal in excellent condition.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings, ensuring all common areas and amenities remain clean.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process, transport it to dumpsters or storage, and keep storage areas tidy.
• Complete minor and routine service requests as directed by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager, and assist the make‑ready specialist during unit turnovers.
• Change locks according to property policy and verify that pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance complaints sensitively.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete required OSHA and safety training, and report accidents accurately.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, and carry objects.
