Groundskeeper / Porter - Prevailing Wage

About the role

Greystar is hiring a groundskeeper/porter for The Brook, a Greystar-managed apartment community. The role keeps the physical aspects of the community maintained and ensures standards are met for the grounds, amenities and overall curb appeal, while supporting the service team members. It is a prevailing wage position.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris and pet droppings, keeping common areas and amenities neat.
• Remove trash and items from vacant apartments before make-ready, transfer trash to the dumpster or storage area, and clean and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor and routine service requests asked by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist the make-ready specialist in the turn process.
• Change locks in line with property policy and ensure pool gate access complies with codes and safety standards.
• Distribute notices and communications to residents as needed.
• Report hazards or dangerous situations to supervisors.
• Treat residents with respect, answer questions and respond sensitively to complaints about maintenance.
• Attend safety meetings, complete OSHA and other safety training, and report accidents and incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property.
• Customer service skills and attention to detail.

• Hourly pay of $22.33, with possible weekly, monthly and/or quarterly bonuses depending on whether the role is corporate or onsite.
