Groundskeeper - Domain Town Center

About the role

A full-time groundskeeper position at Domain Town Center, a Greystar apartment community in Houston, Texas. The role keeps the physical aspects of the community maintained and ensures standards for the grounds, amenities and overall curb appeal, while supporting the service team.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris and pet droppings, keeping common areas and amenities neat.
• Remove trash and items from vacant apartments before make-ready, transfer trash to the dumpster or storage area, and clean and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor and routine service requests asked by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and help the make-ready specialist with the turn process.
• Change locks in line with property policy and ensure pool gate safety meets codes.
• Distribute notices and communications to residents as needed.
• Report hazards or dangerous situations to supervisors.
• Treat residents with respect, answer questions and respond sensitively to complaints about maintenance.
• Attend safety meetings, complete OSHA and other safety training, and report accidents and incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property.
• Able to stand, walk or sit for long periods, bend, climb ladders, reach, carry objects and crawl in confined spaces.
• Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather and to lift up to 25 pounds alone and 50 pounds with help.
• Flexible schedule, including call duty on evenings, weekends and holidays; occasional travel to other properties or training.

• Hourly pay of $14.50 - $18.00, with possible bonus programs depending on whether the role is corporate or onsite.
