About the role
The Grant Administrator II provides expert writing, editing, and proposal development support for faculty and research teams across Texas A&M University System institutions. This role enhances proposal quality, competitiveness, and funding success rates.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and refine narrative sections of proposals for federal, foundation, and industry sponsors.
- Collaborate with faculty to articulate research impact, innovation, and broader societal benefits.
- Review proposals for compliance with sponsor guidelines and evaluation criteria.
- Develop boiler‑plate content, institutional descriptions, and shared proposal resources.
- Coordinate proposal timelines, writing schedules, and submission logistics.
- Deliver writing workshops, grantsmanship training, and support the creation of white papers and concept papers.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of grant writing, scientific editing, or research communications experience.
- Demonstrated success with funded federal proposals.
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency (security‑sensitive position).
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word for document creation and editing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data organization and budgeting.
