About the role

The Graduate Assistant will provide academic and administrative support to the Office of Academic Affairs, helping maintain accurate academic information and supporting policy initiatives.

Key responsibilities

Monitor and review documents on the HB 2504 webpage.
Check academic webpages for catalog information accuracy.
Assist with textbook order follow‑up and policy review projects.
Handle telephone calls, filing, and other clerical tasks as delegated.

Required profile

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and enrollment as a full‑time graduate student at Prairie View A&M University (minimum 9 credit hours per fall/spring semester, 6 in summer).
Good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Experience using Adobe Acrobat Professional.
