About the role

The Graduate Assistant will provide academic and administrative support to the Office of Academic Affairs, assisting with accurate academic information and policy projects.

Key responsibilities

Monitor and review documents on the HB 2504 webpage.
Review academic webpages for catalog information accuracy.
Assist with textbook order follow‑up and policy review, including OER projects.
Handle telephone calls, filing, and other clerical support tasks as delegated.

Required profile

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and enrollment as a full‑time graduate student at Prairie View A&M University.
Minimum 9 graduate credit hours per semester (6 in summer) and a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Professional.
