Global Trade Finance Associate

About the role

Santander is seeking a Global Trade Finance Associate to manage trade receivable transactions for its Corporate and Investment Banking clients in the United States. The role involves guiding clients through working‑capital optimization, structuring deals, and ensuring smooth execution from origination to settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Structure, price, and execute trade receivable transactions.
• Act as advisor and first point of contact for clients seeking receivables‑based financing solutions.
• Negotiate legal documentation for new and existing receivable transactions.
• Lead internal approval processes with risk, middle‑office, and support teams.
• Collaborate with bankers and product partners to originate new business and maintain existing transaction books.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in structured finance, receivable finance, or cash management.
• Proven experience in trade finance, working‑capital, or cash‑management solutions.
• Strong understanding of credit risk evaluation and financial statement analysis.
• Ability to develop cross‑geographical relationships and support business origination.
