Global Senior Director, Medical Affairs

About the role

The Global Senior Director, Medical Affairs leads the execution of Global Medical and Scientific Affairs for assigned therapeutic areas, focusing on the United States while supporting worldwide markets. This senior leader acts as a subject‑matter expert, bridges global strategy with local execution, and partners across multiple functions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive execution of the annual Value & Implementation plan with medical affairs teams, especially in the U.S.
• Serve as SME and translate global scientific platforms into actionable Medical Value Narratives.
• Represent medical affairs within product development sub‑teams, influencing strategy and tactical execution.
• Collaborate with outcomes research, policy, commercial and market access to identify opportunities and barriers.
• Engage international scientific leaders, payers, and government officials to build networks and monitor the external environment.
• Organize global advisory boards, expert forums, symposia and educational meetings.
• Review investigator‑initiated study proposals and manage patient support, education and risk‑management programs.
• Manage assigned budget with strong financial stewardship.

Required profile

• MD, PhD or PharmD (MD preferred) with recognized medical expertise.
• Experience in country/region medical affairs or clinical development.
• Strong prioritization, decision‑making and collaboration skills in a matrix environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication abilities.

What we offer

• Salary range $210,400 – $331,100 USD per year.
