Global Freight Audit and Payment Manager

About the role

Lead the global freight audit and payment function for 3M's Global Logistics, shaping strategy, operating model, and governance across international transportation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global freight audit and payment strategy, operating model, and process standards.
• Own the end‑to‑end freight settlement framework, including accruals, invoice receipt, audit, exception resolution, approval, payment and allocation.
• Lead deployment of technology solutions, integrating ERP and transportation systems, master data, automation and data quality.
• Establish financial controls to ensure payment accuracy, prevent duplicate payments and maintain audit readiness.
• Partner with Transportation Operations, Logistics Sourcing, Finance and Technology to embed settlement requirements.
• Define, monitor and improve freight audit and payment KPIs and drive global standardization initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 7 years of logistics experience and 3 years of supervisory experience.
• At least 3 years of freight settlement experience.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP and transportation‑system integrations.
• Automation and data‑quality management.
• Master data governance.
