Director, Film & Business Supply Chain Operations

About the role

The Director, Film & Business Supply Chain Operations leads the end‑to‑end supply chain for 3M’s global Film business and the Business Supply Chain Operations capability center. This senior role combines strategic planning, network design, and operational governance to drive performance across multiple geographies.

Key responsibilities

• Own Film supply chain strategy, architecture and performance while building the operational infrastructure for Business Supply Chain (BSC) execution.
• Design and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between BSC and internal stakeholders, codify standard work, and operationalize those standards worldwide.
• Lead global network design for sourcing, manufacturing, logistics and delivery, optimizing make‑versus‑buy decisions, capacity allocation and inventory positioning.
• Set strategic direction for cross‑functional work groups spanning planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, quality, engineering and BSC operations.
• Drive supply‑chain readiness for new product introductions and portfolio changes, establishing governance for SLA performance and maturity progression.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, industrial engineering, operations, engineering or business.
• At least 12 years of supply‑chain, operations or manufacturing leadership experience with multi‑group or cross‑divisional responsibility.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives, manage organizational change and negotiate significant business decisions in a matrixed global environment.
