Geriatric Psychiatric RN – Day/Evening Rotation

About the role

The Geriatric Psych Unit at Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital provides specialized mental health care for patients aged 55 and older. As an RN, you will deliver comprehensive nursing care throughout the patient journey, interacting directly with patients and families.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, administer medications and treatments, and follow physician and nursing orders.
• Develop, monitor, and update patient care plans; document patient conditions and communicate changes.
• Assess discharge needs and coordinate patient transitions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure and one year of acute care RN experience or military RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) if hired in a critical care area.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (if applicable).
