General Warehouse Associate (Various Shifts)

About the role

HD Supply is hiring a General Warehouse Associate who works across several departments in a distribution center, including case pick, shipping, receiving, returns, loading, order processing and replenishment. The associate uses material handling equipment to move inventory within the facility. Shifts run Monday to Friday, with no weekends or holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Use material handling equipment to locate and deliver products, supplies and equipment to designated areas.
• Assist with staging and loading orders into trucks for customer delivery.
• Verify the quantity and quality of incoming products from vendors and distribution centers.
• Collect items for customer orders using packing list information, including building and wrapping pallets.
• Inspect stock for wear and defects and notify management of inventory issues.
• Return misplaced products to their proper storage areas.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and perform inventory control as needed.
• Refer complex problems to the supervisor and exercise judgment under general supervision.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age and able to pass a drug test.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, walk, move, push and pull product, and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to train to operate forklifts, clamps, electric pallet jacks or similar equipment.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• HS diploma or GED strongly preferred; generally 2-5 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
