General Surgical Pathologist – Full‑Time Academic Position

About the role

Ochsner LSU Health System Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center – Shreveport are seeking a General Surgical Pathologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in the Department of Pathology. The successful candidate must be board‑certified in Anatomic Pathology, eligible for Louisiana licensure, and will provide high‑quality diagnostic services while contributing to academic teaching.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain excellence in specimen preparation and diagnostic accuracy.
• Provide consultative pathology services to clinical colleagues across the institution.
• Incorporate advanced diagnostic techniques to improve patient care.
• Participate in service duties and teach medical students and residents.

Required profile

• Board certified in Anatomic Pathology (or Anatomic & Clinical Pathology).
• Eligible for Louisiana medical licensure.
• Qualified for an Assistant or Associate Professor academic rank.
• Eligible for J‑1 or H‑1B visa waiver sponsorship, if required.
