General Surgical Pathologist – Full‑Time Academic

About the role

Ochsner LSU Health System Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center – Monroe are seeking a General Surgical Pathologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in the Department of Pathology. The successful candidate must be board certified/eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and eligible for Louisiana licensure.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain excellence in specimen preparation and diagnostic accuracy.
• Provide high‑quality consultative services to clinical colleagues within and outside the institution.
• Support and incorporate advanced diagnostic techniques to improve diagnostic accuracy.
• Perform service and teaching responsibilities for medical students and residents.

Required profile

• Board certified/eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
• Eligible for Louisiana medical licensure.
• Eligible for J‑1 or H‑1B visa sponsorship (qualified candidates).
