About the role

Ochsner Health and LSU Health Shreveport are seeking a fellowship‑trained orthopedic surgeon for a full‑time academic appointment as an Assistant or Associate Professor. The role combines high‑volume patient care with teaching responsibilities in a Level I Trauma Center environment.

Key responsibilities

Provide comprehensive orthopedic surgical care, including trauma and general orthopedic cases.
Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows, offering leadership and guidance in the department.

Required profile

Fellowship‑trained orthopedic surgeon eligible for active Louisiana licensure and board certified/board eligible.
Qualified for an Assistant or Associate Professor academic rank.
