General Manager – Retail Store (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead our Pottery Barn store in Valencia. You will be responsible for building a high‑performing team, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and driving profitable results.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, develop and retain top talent to support future growth.
• Achieve or exceed budgeted sales, payroll and controllable expense targets.
• Manage day‑to‑day store operations, inventory levels and visual merchandising standards.
• Ensure exemplary customer service and a positive brand experience.
• Plan schedules, hold the team accountable and adjust daily agendas to meet business goals.
• Provide ongoing training in sales, product knowledge and customer service.
• Conduct performance appraisals and create development plans.
• Maintain strong floor presence and ensure adequate staff coverage.
• Foster a respectful, “People First” work environment.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead staff to exceed sales goals while managing payroll.
• Track record of identifying talent, building teams and retaining employees.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication, organization and leadership abilities.
• Minimum 4 + years management experience in specialty or multi‑unit retail.
