General Manager for Newly Renovated Marriott Hotel

About the role

Blue Sky Hospitality Solutions seeks an experienced, hands‑on General Manager to lead the newly renovated Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Columbia, Missouri. This role offers the chance to build a strong team, enhance market position, and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Direct all daily hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, complimentary breakfast and Guest Services, ensuring Marriott brand standards.
• Recruit, onboard, train, coach and retain a high‑performing team while fostering a positive, guest‑focused culture.
• Own the hotel’s budget, forecast, P&L, labor productivity and profitability; partner with Sales and Revenue Management to drive occupancy, ADR and RevPAR.
• Maintain compliance with safety, employment and regulatory requirements and protect the renovated asset through preventive‑maintenance programs.

Required profile

• Progressive hotel leadership experience, preferably within a Marriott‑branded or comparable select‑service hotel.
• Demonstrated ability to lead operations, build teams and improve performance, with strong financial acumen.
• Experience improving guest‑satisfaction scores and brand‑quality results.
• Visible, hands‑on leadership style with excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work on‑site in Columbia, Missouri, with schedule flexibility.
