General Counsel

About the role

The General Counsel will lead the legal function for a leading privately‑owned supply chain solutions organization in the United States. Reporting to the executive team, the role oversees a small group of attorneys and provides strategic legal guidance across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a small in‑house legal team.
• Act as the primary legal advisor to senior leadership and the board.
• Oversee all corporate, commercial, regulatory and employment matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and mitigate legal risk for manufacturing and supply‑chain operations.
• Coordinate with external counsel on complex litigation and transactions.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of broad‑based legal experience.
• Background in a major law firm with subsequent senior‑level experience in a manufacturing organization.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a legal team and influence executive decision‑making.
• Residency in the New York metropolitan area.
