General Business Technician

About the role

The General Business Technician supports financial performance, operational efficiency, and customer service through the administration of concession agreements and service contracts at Washington Dulles International Airport.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and preparing ground transportation permits, contracts, and solicitations.
• Process permit applications, manage automated vehicle identification (AVI) accounts, issue tags, monitor balances, and handle invoicing.
• Generate activity reports from electronic vehicle tracking systems and reconcile access fees.
• Serve as Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR) on contracts, maintaining records and monitoring compliance.
• Conduct on‑site observations of commercial vehicle operations, document violations, and address public complaints.

Required profile

• Three years of progressively responsible experience in business administration, permits, contracts, or leases.
• Knowledge of general business principles such as financial, budgetary, auditing, and forecasting related to contracts.
• Ability to organize and maintain operational records and conduct research to recommend improvements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer and modern office suite software.
