About the role

The GED Examiner supports adult education by registering students, maintaining accurate records, and administering GED tests in correctional facilities under the guidance of the Dean of Adult Education.

Key responsibilities

  • Register students and keep precise testing records.
  • Verify each candidate’s identity and eligibility before testing.
  • Administer online GED testing and monitor compliance with policies.
  • Maintain testing materials and ensure readiness for unannounced state monitoring.
  • Report directly to the Dean of Adult Education.

Required profile

  • High school equivalency or high school diploma.
  • Knowledge of GED Testing Service policies and procedures.
  • Ability to break larger tasks into manageable smaller tasks.
  • Clear oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

  • Proficiency in computer operation.
  • Experience with job‑related software programs.

What we offer

  • Hourly wage of $18.
  • Temporary part‑time position based on correctional facilities needs, without benefits.
