Future Talent Vaccine Manufacturing Co‑op

About the role

The Future Talent Program offers a 6‑month co‑op assignment in MSD's Manufacturing & Supply Division, providing hands‑on experience in vaccine production at the West Point, PA site. You will work under vaccine production or engineering management, supporting operational activities while complying with GMP gowning requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑floor support of operational and technical issues and collaborate with the shop floor on various projects critical to vaccine manufacturing.
• Perform deviation investigations, determine root causes, identify corrective actions, and conduct product impact assessments.
• Complete projects to improve process performance, yield, cost, and cycle times, including Right‑First‑Time and Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
• Support team safety, environmental and compliance objectives and collaborate with managers, operators, maintenance, automation, quality, and supply chain.

Required profile

• Candidate must be pursuing an Associate’s, BS or MS degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering, or Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Virology, or Business and Engineering.
• Must demonstrate communication, leadership and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Experience in biologics, vaccine or bulk sterile manufacturing facilities.
• Experience using Lean/Six Sigma tools.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, lead small projects, and solve problems/troubleshoot.
