Associate Director, Engineering (Field)

About the role

The Associate Director, Engineering (Field) will lead large capital projects or a portfolio of smaller projects across manufacturing, laboratory, and infrastructure sites. The role supports Global Engineering Services in delivering critical assets on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage integrated project teams to deliver critical assets on schedule and budget.
• Develop and execute project execution plans, including scope, design, procurement, and construction oversight.
• Control project costs, budgets, and schedules while implementing change management and risk mitigation strategies.
• Oversee commissioning, qualification, contract administration, and project close‑out activities.
• Provide clear communication, reporting, and stakeholder management across multiple locations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience delivering capital or expense projects in a manufacturing or laboratory environment.
• Proven ability to lead integrated teams and manage budgets, schedules, and risk.
• Strong oral and written communication skills for presenting project status and funding updates.
• Willingness to work at West Point, PA, with potential assignments in Rahway, NJ, or Wilmington, DE, and travel up to 50% of the time.
