Future Talent Program – Vaccines Process R&D Upstream Intern

About the role

The Future Talent Program offers a 10‑12 week internship in the Vaccines and Advanced Biotechnologies Process R&D division, where you will work on lab‑scale process development and scale‑up studies for vaccine production.

Key responsibilities

• Perform lab‑scale fermentation or cell culture experiments and in‑process assay support.
• Develop and scale up robust, efficient cell culture processes for vaccine manufacturing.
• Maintain raw material and equipment inventories to support development work.
• Assist with technology transfer to later‑stage development groups.
• Participate in pilot‑scale GMP campaigns, including preparation, execution, and closeout.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a BS/BA program in a relevant scientific or engineering field.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong organization and communication skills.
• Availability for full‑time work for 10‑12 weeks starting May or June 2027.

Required skills

• Hands‑on laboratory experience, including cell culture and fermentation.
• Experience with upstream process development and scale‑up techniques.
• Familiarity with immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, or virometry methods.
