Future Talent Program – Vaccines Process R&D Downstream Co‑Op

About the role

The Future Talent Program offers a 4‑6 month co‑op in the Vaccines and Advanced Biotechnologies Process Research & Development division. You will work under a mentor to conduct bench‑scale experiments, optimize downstream unit operations, and support pilot‑scale GMP campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze downstream purification experiments to support vaccine product development.
• Optimize and troubleshoot unit operations and basic analytical techniques.
• Contribute to scale‑up activities, including pilot‑scale campaigns for GMP manufacture of bulk clinical material.
• Document experimental results, prepare summaries, and present findings to the team.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a BS/BA program in Chemical/Biomedical/Biological Engineering, Bioengineering, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or a closely related field.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organization and communication skills.
• Availability for full‑time work for 4‑6 months in 2027 (June‑November or March‑August).

Required skills

• Hands‑on laboratory experience in downstream bioprocess purification.
• Understanding of purification operations for large complex molecules.
• Experience with basic analytical techniques used in process development.
