Future Talent Program – Quantitative Biosciences & Cellular Pharmacology Intern

About the role

The Future Talent Program offers a 10‑12 week internship in the Quantitative Biosciences, Cellular Pharmacology & Lead Discovery team, where you will work alongside experienced scientists on drug discovery projects for cancer and cardiometabolic diseases.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and perform cellular assays used in drug development, leveraging laboratory automation to improve robustness and throughput.
• Execute assays to support compound screening, mechanism‑of‑action studies, and evaluate new assay technologies.
• Record and analyze data using electronic lab notebooks and industry‑standard analysis software.
• Present data progress in internal meetings and deliver a final verbal presentation.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a full‑time degree program (BS/BA, master’s or PhD) in biology, biochemistry or a related field, with at least 2 years of study completed.
• Available to work full‑time for 10‑12 weeks beginning May or June 2027.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a record of academic achievement.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Laboratory experience with cell biology techniques.
• Hands‑on experience with aseptic technique and good cell culture practice.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools, electronic lab notebooks, and assay automation.
