Future Talent Program – Discovery Pharmaceutical Sciences Intern

About the role

The Future Talent Program offers a 12‑week internship in MSD's Research Lab Division, where you will work on formulation development and manufacturing projects for oral, sterile, and specialty pharmaceutical products.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and characterize polymer/API composite particles, biologics formulations, and lipid‑based delivery systems.
• Perform laboratory experiments using HPLC, spectroscopy, and other analytical techniques, and record data in electronic lab notebooks.
• Present research findings in both oral and written formats to departmental and project team meetings.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled undergraduate (sophomore‑senior) or graduate student in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 and at least two years of study completed by June 2024.
• Available full‑time for up to 12 weeks between June and August 2027.

Required skills

• Basic laboratory skills including HPLC, spectroscopy, and safe lab practices.
• Experience with electronic notebook recording and analytical techniques.
