Full‑Time Philosophy Faculty (Two Positions)

About the role

Montgomery College is hiring two full‑time Philosophy faculty members, one for the Germantown Campus and one for the Rockville Campus, beginning Spring 2027. The role involves teaching a variety of philosophy courses in a multicultural, diverse‑learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Philosophy instruction across face‑to‑face, online, hybrid, or blended formats.
• Develop and assess curriculum, assignments, and examinations.
• Advising students, serving on departmental and college‑wide committees, and supporting student clubs.
• Maintain an active professional development program and participate in scholarly activities.
• Utilize instructional technology and Learning Management Systems to enhance learning.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Philosophy or a closely related field with depth and breadth of coursework.
• Experience or training in working with diverse student populations.
• Proficiency in using technology for instruction, including LMS platforms.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Required skills

• Learning Management System (LMS) operation.
