About the role
The Department of Mathematics at the University of Miami seeks qualified candidates for a full‑time Lecturer position for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality introductory mathematics instruction to undergraduate students.
Key responsibilities
- Teach up to four introductory mathematics courses each fall and spring semester.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments.
- Engage students through effective classroom management and active learning techniques.
- Participate in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and academic events.
Required profile
- Earned doctoral degree in mathematics or a closely related field, with at least 18 graduate credits in pure mathematics.
- Outstanding teaching credentials and a demonstrated commitment to student success.
- Preferably three or more years of college‑level teaching experience.
