About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a full‑time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct patient care in its pediatric clinics. The role involves delivering nursing services, including IV therapy, under the supervision of a registered nurse and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including IV therapy, following the Licensed Practical Nurse Act.
• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff to ensure a high‑quality patient experience.
• Assist ancillary nursing staff and support the healthcare team in delivering personalized care.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current LPN license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• IV therapy competency (preferred).
• Basic Life Support certification.
