Full-Time Security Officer with Active Clearance

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time Security Officer with an active clearance to work at a front desk in an aerospace and defense location in Salt Lake City, Utah. The officer welcomes visitors, manages access, verifies credentials and supports a professional, secure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors and vendors at the front desk.
• Manage visitor access by greeting guests, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials and keeping accurate entry records.
• Monitor access-control systems, alarms, cameras and communications equipment, and report unusual activity or equipment issues.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms and critical situations, following emergency response procedures.
• Maintain a professional lobby by answering phones, directing visitors, keeping required logs and reporting security concerns to site leadership and management.

Required profile

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• An active DoD Secret clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles, 21+ for armed roles.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen, and to licensing requirements under state and local law.
