Full-Time Pediatric Gastroenterology Faculty Position

About the role

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center are seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join the Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Pediatrics. This full‑time, academic appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level offers a balanced mix of clinical care, teaching, and research in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inpatient consult services and manage pediatric GI patients in a 23‑bed inpatient ward and intensive care unit.
• Perform endoscopic procedures in the on‑site endoscopy center.
• Teach residents and medical students weekly in GI outpatient clinics.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives, including NIH‑ and industry‑sponsored trials.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
• Eligibility for a Louisiana medical license.
• Commitment to high‑quality patient care, academic growth, and collaborative teamwork.

Required skills

• Proficiency in performing pediatric endoscopic procedures.
• Experience using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
