Full-Time Nurse Anesthesia Faculty Position

About the role

The University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies is hiring qualified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for full-time faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor of Clinical rank. Faculty will join a nationally recognized team that delivers didactic, simulation and clinical education for the BSN-DNP Anesthesia program.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver didactic lectures, simulation sessions and supervise clinical rotations for doctoral nurse-anesthesia students.
• Provide academic and clinical advising to students throughout their program.
• Engage in scholarly research, publish in peer-reviewed journals and contribute to the school’s research agenda.
• Participate in curriculum development, accreditation activities and service to the university and profession.

Required profile

• PhD or other doctorate degree in Nursing or a related field.
• Current certification as a CRNA and an active APRN/RN license.
• 3-5 years of progressive clinical anesthesia experience.
• Demonstrated teaching portfolio in graduate nurse-anesthesia education.
