About the role

Join Ochsner Baptist Hospital as a full‑time night Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery. You will provide compassionate, high‑quality care to mothers and newborns while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for laboring patients and their families.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members to ensure safe, efficient care.
Educate patients and families, adapting communication to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and Ochsner’s policies.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Current RN license in Louisiana and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to work night shifts in a fast‑paced, patient‑care environment.

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
