Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse – Day Shift (Outpatient Clinic)

About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct nursing care to patients in an outpatient gastroenterology clinic. Working under the supervision of the office manager or physician, the LPN ensures safe, compassionate care during day shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in patient assessments and collaborate on care plans.
• Deliver direct nursing care, adjusting interventions based on age‑specific physiological needs.
• Maintain accurate patient records and administer prescribed medications.
• Recognize and respond to life‑threatening situations.
• Support a safe environment and adhere to infection‑control protocols.
• Engage in performance‑improvement activities and quality monitoring.
• Promote cultural and spiritual considerations within the medical regimen.
• Contribute to cost‑containment and accurate charging for services.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current North Carolina LPN license (or Compact state license).
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 35 lb; good visual and auditory acuity.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
