Surgical Technologist – Full‑Time Days – CFV Gastro‑Endo Center

About the role

The Surgical Technologist (scrub technologist) provides essential patient‑care support in the operating suite, working under the direction of the Registered Nurse. This full‑time, day‑shift position is based at the CFV Gastro‑Endo Center in Fayetteville, NC.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain aseptic technique while performing scrub and support duties.
• Assist with patient care plans within the scope of practice for surgical technologists.
• Retrieve and manage medication and supply items for patient use.
• Transport and escort patients to designated areas.
• Prepare, select, and maintain instruments, equipment, and supplies for operative cases.
• Foster positive relationships with the surgical team, patients, and families.
• Protect patient confidentiality and respect cultural/spiritual needs.
• Participate in educational and performance‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience as a surgical technologist (preferred).
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to work with complex monitoring and life‑saving equipment.
• Knowledge of Standard Precautions and infection‑control practices.
