About the role
The Department of Political Science at the University of Miami seeks a full‑time Lecturer specializing in public administration. The successful candidate will teach both in‑person and online courses for the Master’s in Public Administration program and may also teach undergraduate classes.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses covering public sector economics, policy analysis, program evaluation, and emerging topics such as AI in government, energy policy, and technology politics.
- Prepare and update syllabi, course materials, and assessments.
- Engage students through lectures, discussions, and online platforms.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and academic advising.
Required profile
- PhD in Political Science, Public Administration, or a closely related field (or expected completion by August 15 2026).
- Demonstrated ability to teach at the graduate level, preferably in public administration.
- Strong academic record and a commitment to inclusive teaching.
