About the role
The Department of Psychology at the University of Miami seeks a full-time Lecturer to strengthen its undergraduate teaching mission. The appointment begins August 15 2025 and focuses on delivering high-quality courses in research methods, biobehavioral statistics, and core introductory subjects.
Key responsibilities
- Teach a selection of undergraduate courses, including research methods, statistics, and introductory psychology topics.
- Develop and update syllabi, lecture materials, and assessments.
- Deliver lectures on the Coral Gables campus and, where appropriate, via online platforms.
- Grade examinations, assignments, and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain regular office hours to support student learning.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in Psychology or a closely related field by the start date.
- Strong background in research methods and statistical analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate courses; experience with upper-level classes is a plus.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment.
